Rochester Man Sent to Prison For Fatal Traffic Crash
Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man is headed to prison for causing a fatal traffic crash while driving high on meth.
A judge in Goodhue County today ordered 29-year-old Jesse Juaire to serve 9 years in prison for his conviction on a criminal vehicular homicide charge. Juaire pleaded guilty in December and admitted he was under the influence of methamphetamine when he lost control of his car on Highway 52 near Zumbrota in the early morning hours of August 18, 2017.
The resulting rollover crash left one of his passengers fatally injured. The State Patrol report on the crash indicated 32-year-old Cassandra Sis was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sentencing order says Juaire is being given credit for the 301 days he is spent in jail and that he is being required to pay just under $1300 restitution.
