Rochester Police Looking To ID Man Accused of Gun-Pointing Incident
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Police Department is trying to identify a man that has been accused of pointing a gun at two Rochester residents.
Police said that a 43-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were driving in the 1500 block of 10th Ave SE Friday night when a man appeared and began approaching the vehicle the two victims were in around 7:40 p.m. The driver of the vehicle noticed the man had a gun at his side.
Authorities said the suspect asked the driver why they were following him. The driver explained that they weren’t, and drove to a nearby parking lot.
The suspect then walked over to the vehicle in the parking lot, took out a gun, and pointed it at the woman. He then walked over to the driver’s side and pointed a gun at the man. He didn’t say anything to either victim.
The suspect then left the scene and drove away in a blue Dodge minivan.
Police said the suspect is a black male that was wearing a white hat, black jacket, and jeans when the incident occurred.
