Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - How about a traditional July 4th lunch - free!

The Rochester Salvation Army will serve free hot dogs with all the condiments, chips, and freeze pops and apple pie at Soldier’s Field Veterans Memorial from 11am-1pm on Saturday, July 4th. All community members are welcome. 300 meals, drive through or walk-up, will be available.

The Salvation Army reminds Rochester that its programs and services have remained open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of support from the Rochester Area Foundation, Wells Fargo, Think Mutual Bank, and many other generous supporters, the Salvation Army is ready to keep people housed with rent and utility assistance and to ensure that our most vulnerable neighbors do not go hungry.

“This has been a difficult time for our entire community, and it’s important to recognize that many of our neighbors do and will need our help to recover from this crisis,” said Major Bob Mueller, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army, “We want people to know that we’re here to help if and when they need it. No one is ever alone here in Rochester.”
