Rochester Sets Heat Record

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester tied a longtime temperature record Friday. It was even warmer Saturday and this time the city’s high temperature broke the previous record.
The National Weather Service says the official high at the Rochester airport was 95-degrees, recorded at 2:37 pm. The previous record was 94 degrees, set in 1934.
The heat will continue for at least a few more days with highs forecast to reach 90 degrees through Thursday.
So far this year, Rochester has reached 90 degrees or higher three times. The normal average is 11 days.
