Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman has been given a nearly 17-year prison sentence for a child pornography conviction.
A spokesperson for the US Attorney for Minnesota says 27-year-old Shahla Thompson was recently handed a 200-month prison term. She pleaded guilty in July to a federal charge of receipt of child pornography through a plea deal to settle an indictment that also charged her with production of child pornography.
She and her boyfriend, 30-year-old Adam Rietz, were accused of sexually abusing a young boy and producing images of videos of the assaults on the child. Rietz earlier pleaded guilty to a production of child pornography charge and is serving a 27-year sentence in federal prison.
