Rochester, MN(KROC AM News) - After nearly a week, Rochester is expected to finally experience above zero temperatures Tuesday.
It won’t be much of a warmup but anything above zero is warmer than what the city has been enduring since last Wednesday night when the temperature went negative and stayed there.
Since a high of 31 degrees on Feb 4th, the city’s temperatures have ranged from 6 above to Monday’s 23 below, which was a record for the date.
Average high temperatures in the Rochester area this time of year are around 30 degrees. It may reach that on Sunday.
Highs on Monday may get above freezing - which hasn't happened since January 20.
News update: Minnesotans are being asked to observe a moment of silence.
