Last week, we all heard how the recent flooding in Southeast Minnesota closed Oxbow Park and Zollman Zoo due to the damage and road conditions.  There wasn't much news at first other than the park was closed indefinitely, as originally posted on the Oxbow Park and Zollman Zoo facebook page.  Today, there is good news!  And if you were one of the many individuals in the community that wanted to help clean up...well, it is time to roll up our sleeves.

If you missed the photos and original story, you can check those out here.  The photos of the playgrounds and areas where people can sit for a picnic truly show the damage and debris that has washed into the area.  (View the photos here)

Ready to volunteer?  Here's the latest info from Oxbow Park and Zollman Zoo:

And the good news...Zollman Zoo has reopened!  Oxbow Park and Zollman Zoo have stated that to get there, "you need to go to Co. Rd. 14 (aka 75th st.) to 110 Ave. onto Co. Rd. 105 from the North side of the park."

Know of any other groups that need help with clean-up?  I'd love to help spread the info.  Send me a message on my Facebook page or DM me on Instagram.
