Second Minnesota Boogaloo Bois Pleads Guilty to Terrorism Charge
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Twin Cities area man is the second member of the anti-government Boogaloo Bois to plead guilty to terrorism-related charges.
A new release issued by the acting US Attorney for Minnesota says 31-year-old Michael Solomon of New Brighton went before a federal judge in St. Paul this morning and admitted to a charge of conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization. Specifically, prosecutors say the charge involved weapons Solomon believed were being provided to Hamas for use against Israeli and U.S. military personnel.
Court documents indicate Solomon and Benjamin Teeter became the targets of an FBI investigation for their alleged membership in a subgroup of the Boogaloo Bois known as the Boojahideen. The charges alleged the two men met with a paid undercover FBI informant and offered to manufacture and supply Hamas with so-called silencers, untraceable firearms, and fully automatic firearms.
Solomon faces a maximum of 20-years in prison for the conviction. Teeter entered a guilty plea to the same charge in December and is awaiting sentencing.
