It's not every day that a TV show produced right in southeast Minnesota gets picked up by a national network, but that's just what happened with this outdoors show-- and it'll be on TV across the country starting Monday.

Minnesota has been home to several different national home improvement and reno shows over the years on HGTV (like Stay or Sell with Foxes or any of Nicole Curtis' shows-- before she got into a spat with the Minneapolis city council and moved her show to her native Michigan.) But now a show produced here in our backyard -- in southeast Minnesota -- is set to air nationwide.

The show is called Let's Go, Minnesota! and it's produced over in Austin at PBS affiliate, KSMQ-TV. KSMQ's website describes Let's Go, Minnesota like this:  "Host Brenda Piekarski leads a team of adventurers down rivers, up cliffs, and across prairies.  Hiking, biking, climbing, and paddling are just a few ways we enjoy the outdoors.  And because we include an artist on every adventure, you will get to look at nature through a creative lens as well," it noted.

And, while episodes from its first season have already aired locally (season 2 is being aired right now on KSMQ), both seasons have just been picked up for national distribution by Create TV, the 'premier channel for how-to shows.' It's a national network based in Boston and is carried by many PBS stations across the country (including KSMQ.) According to a story in the Post Bulletin, both seasons of Let's Go, Minnesota! will start airing across the country on Create TV starting Monday.

The series has 14 total shows (which, the PB says were actually shot back in 2018 and 2019) and feature locales that should be pretty familiar to us. The first season features shows about Oxbow Park, the Zumbro River, Whitewater State Park, Sugar Loaf in Winona, the Root River and more. Set that DVR! (And check out the episode below)

And speaking of TV shows based in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, remember when Brad and Heather Fox from the HGTV show Stay or Sell announced that they were selling their OWN million dollar home up in Edina last year? Keep scrolling to check out the pictures!
