It may go down as a 3-0 sweep, but the matchup between Spring Grove and Lanesboro was nothing short of entertaining Tuesday night in a Southeast Conference West Division battle.

The Lions were in control in set one, winning it 25-16, but Lanesboro was able to come back and take a 12-3 lead in the second set. It looked as if the Burros were going to take the second set and force a fourth. Instead, the Lions started their comeback.

Spring Grove road a talent group on offense in Addyson McHugh, Amelia Solum and Rachel Normann to cut the lead down to 14-10. All of a sudden, the Lions were back in it. The Burros tried to hold them off, but with the score at 18-15 in Lanesboro's favor, the Lions scored 10 of the last 11 points to take a 25-19 set win.

Set two had several long rallies with both teams tracking down volleyballs that were sent through the air and forced defenses to really be in a good position. That night, the ball just seemed to bounce in the Lions favor more times than not.

The Burros played well, but fell in the final set 25-18 as the Lions took the sweep. Sydney Taylor was great for Lanesboro, adding 11 kills to pace the Burros' offense, while Kaci Ruen was all over the floor, adding five kills.

McHugh led the way with 10 kills for Spring Grove, while Normann added 12 digs.

The Burros moved to 5-6 overall with the loss, while Spring Grove advanced to 8-2.
