On Wednesday January 20,2021 the University of Minnesota Extension Service will be hosting a webinar which is part of the Strategic Farming 2021 series titled: Herbicide Technology Traits, What to use where, when and how. You can access the webinar on your computer, phone or other mobile device. The program will be on Zoom from 8:30 to 9:00 am. After the presentation of about 10 minutes there will a 20 minute discussion built around farmer questions.

The program will be led by Debalin Sarangi Extension Weed Scientist and Tom Peterson Extension Sugarbeet Agronomist. To pre-register and get the Zoom link go to the website: https://z.umn.edu/strategic-farming. There is no cost for the Herbicide Technology Trait webinar. Plus, if it does not fit into your schedule the program will be recorded and then posted on the University of Minnesota website so you can watch it later when you have time.

I suspect a lot of the discussion will center around the two soybean platforms Enlist (2-4-D) and Extend (Dicambia.) We seem to have better herbicides to control tough weeds like waterhemp and giant ragweed in corn than in soybeans.
