Retired Mayo Clinic Surgeon Joseph Cass and his partner, North Dakota state lawmaker Liz Conmy lost their lives in the aviation disaster.

A plea agreement resulted to the dismissal of first-degree attempted murder and other charges.

He was convicted in November 2024 of first and second-degree murder charges.
