Minnesota National Guard troops from the 34th Infantry Division return home to tearful reunions after a long deployment.

The scene was the same as the previous night outside the Brooklyn Center police station, where security fences and other barricades have been in place since Monday in the aftermath of the shooting of Daunte Wright.

For a second straight night, a crowd gathered at the city’s police station to protest Sunday’s deadly police shooting of a black man.

Planes carrying members of the Minnesota National Guard members have been flying this weekend to Washington D.C. as part of a massive deployment of troops to the nation's capitol in advance of the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden.
