The Craft Sale That Has Raised Over $100,000 Is This Saturday
The first time that I went to this sale, it was in a house in NW Rochester. Every room was full of amazing items that were brought for one purpose...raising money to help kids. That sale has grown A LOT but the mission is the same.
The Creating Hope 4 Cambodia sale is now in its 9th year and has raised over $100,000 since it started. Last year, over $20,000 was raised in 4 hours. Yes, 2 hours. That money has gone to help boys and girls in Cambodia get an education, which has helped them stay out of the brothels in those areas.
You can be part of this (and also buy some amazing items!) Go shopping on
Saturday, November 3rd, from 9 am until 1 pm at Christ Community Church (4400 55th Street NW, Rochester, MN 55901). You won't have to look far to find the gym and all of the amazing items that were donated. There is plenty of parking and there will be a lot of signs and smiles waiting for you.
What will be for sale this year at Creating Hope 4 Cambodia? Check out the pictures that are being added to their Facebook page. Right now, I'm seeing amazing hand painted signs, beautiful candles, great gifts for Christmas, ornaments, vendors, and many other items that are delicious and perfect for your home.
During my meetup with the organizer, Marti Ogren, I not only learned a lot about the sale but I had some fun too. Watch the YouTube video below (or click here) to see the video and also to see who won the "10 Second Guessing Game" that Marti and I played.
Who should I play the "10 Second Guessing Game" with next? I’d love to hear your ideas and help spread the word about more events and nonprofits in the area! Send me a message on my Facebook page (click here) or DM me on Instagram.
