Daylight Savings Time. The thing we should have never, ever had in the first place. All it does is make people tired, and it really serves no benefit to society. That is my opinion, of course.

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was in Reno, Nevada last year, around this time of year, and we flew back on a Saturday. That Saturday just so happened to be the day that we were turn our clocks one hour ahead.

We landed at night, and got back to Minnesota around 10 p.m. So, essentially my body thought it was 8 p.m., but it was going to be a complete culture shock the next day. I woke up at 7 a.m. on Sunday morning, feeling like it was 4 a.m.

I felt like I was just hit by a Mack truck.

No matter what I did to try and combat this, I just couldn't. It was awful.

This year, we turn our clocks ahead at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 12th.

So, why do we have Daylight Savings Time? Arizona is one state that I know of that never uses it, and I'm not entirely sure why we have it now. So, I did some digging.

According to this post from TIME.com, Daylight Savings Time was issued because it was suppose to save energy during World War I. Back on March 19, 1918, the U.S made the first DST law.

Yeah, that was a long time ago. Almost like a Sunday Liquor Store Sales law that was in effect....

Let's make the change! Do you like Daylight Savings Time?
