Undated (KROC AM News) - Three people were killed in separate traffic wrecks in Minnesota Sunday afternoon.

One was a motorcyclist who was killed in southwest Minnesota, near Luverne. The State Patrol says 39 year old Chad Carlson of Luverne lost control of his motorcycle and crashed around 2:45.

The other fatal wrecks happened in St. Louis County in northeast Minnesota.  

The State Patrol says a minivan driven by 82 year old Carol Mitchell of Tower collided with a car that pulled onto Highway 169 from a parking lot. She was treated for non-life threatening injuries, as was the driver of the car. He was identified as 82 year old Carl Tuominen of Tower. Tuominen’s 82 year old wife Elaine died at the scene.

The third fatal wreck happened on Highway 53 when a vehicle rolled. Killed was 51 year old Bruce Etienne of Ogilvie. The State Patrol says he was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. The vehicle was driven by Etienne’s wife Rebecca. She and their 15 year old son Marcel suffered non-life threatening injuries.
