Freezing rain fell across Southeast Minnesota through the overnight hours which means your morning commute is going to be difficult. At 5:00AM the Minnesota Department of Transportation is reporting that most roads are completely covered with ice.

Another round of snow is expected today as a Winter Weather Advisory continues until midnight for our area. The heaviest snow will be found north of Interstate-90. Rochester could get 4-6" and some areas in our listening area could see as much as 5 to 9 inches. In addition, winds will become strong and gusty this afternoon and evening. Blowing and drifting snow is expected to further complicate travel. The snow will be heavy at times which will lead to sloppy conditions and poor visibility.

Please plan accordingly. Allow yourself extra time to reach your destination safely today. You can check the most up to date road conditions here.
