In a recent press release, Tri-County Electric Cooperative announced that their Operation Round Up donated $4,600 to local organizations.  Recipients include $750 to help with the construction of veterans memorial parks in Wykoff, Spring Grove and Rushford.  Six-hundred dollars to local heating assistance programs.  Three hundred dollars to ABLE in LaCrescent to defray costs of CPR training mannequins and two hundred dollars to Empty Bowls of Harmony.
Donations to Operation Round Up  are made by members of Tri-County Electric Cooperative who volunteer to round up their electric bill to the next dollar.  Approximately 1,600 members participate in the program with an average Operation Round Up donation of $6 a year per member.
Tri-County Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving Winona, Houston, Fillmore, and parts of Mower and Olmsted counties in Minnesota, and Howard, Winneshiek and Allamakee counties in Iowa.
