Twin Cities Area Shooting Leaves One Dead, Two Hurt (Update)
Apple Valley, MN (KROC-AM News)- Update 7/11 11:40 a.m. Police in Apple Valley say a 49-year-old woman was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting that happened around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Police say the woman was deceased at the scene.
A 39-year-old man checked into a hospital with gun shot wounds and is believed to be in serious condition. The woman’s 25-year-old son was also hit by gunfire. He was treated and released from the hospital and is in police custody after reportedly telling officers he took part in the shooting.
Police say the 39-year-old man was an ex-boyfriend of the deceased woman. Investigators are processing his vehicle.

Apple Valley Police say officers were dispatched to a residence on reports of people shooting at each other Sunday evening. Upon arrival, officers say they found one person was dead and the other was wounded when police entered the home.
Police say witnesses saw a vehicle flee the scene before officers arrived. Several homes in the area were reportedly struck by gun fire.
The names of the gun shot wound victims have not been released. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
