WARNING: Unusual White Substance Spotted In Minnesota Tuesday
Warning to all the snowbirds in Minnesota. You are probably going to want to pack up those RV's or find your plane tickets to Arizona ASAP because something white and frozen was just spotted in Minnesota that you probably won't like. Yep - snow.
Minnesota Police Department Spotted Snow on Tuesday
September seems early for me to be chatting about snow but a town in Minnesota had the unfortunate sighting of a few white flakes on Tuesday, September 27th. Ely Police Department hopped on Twitter with a video as proof that we'd better all start finding those winter coats, hats, and gloves.
Thankfully, Ely is a 5-hour drive from Rochester, Minnesota so those white flakes weren't flying near the Med City. But, we did have a pretty chilly morning today. We have a weather station at my house and honestly, I have no idea what most of the information means but I do know that it said it was 28 degrees this morning outside.
And yes, I know our house was in the mid 60's and a bit on the chilly side. I am currently at the stage where I am just repeating the words, "Put another layer on" as my family complains. We have blankets. Throw one on, you'll be fine.
How cold does it need to be before you turn the furnace on?
In terms of layers, how many layers do you need to put on before that furnace gets turned on for the first time and does that whole "burning dust" smell throughout the house? I usually wear a hoodie, jeans, t-shirt, and have a blanket over me while I'm watching tv before I cave in and turn that furnace on. But I also cheat. We have a gas fireplace and that did get turned on...just to get the chill out of the house this morning. Let me know your answer over on my Facebook page - Jessica On The Radio.
