I'm already tired of winter. I'm ready for spring to be here! I want warm weather! Unfortunately, we can't just wish warm weather upon us and have it happen. So when can we expect it to feel like spring in Minnesota? Paul Pastelok, AccuWeather Lead Long-Range Meteorologist, has some ideas.

Before we get to spring though, let's look at what Paul's predicting as our fate for the rest of the winter. He told KARE 11 that at the end of January into the beginning of February we could have a big winter storm. Yuck. I've seen that we might get 12 inches of snow next week... so stay tuned for that.

As for the rest of February, Paul says that the end of the month will bring "'another period of colder weather and more snow can return'" and that will continue into March. We might see more snow dropped on us in March and we'll still have that cool air sticking around, even though the first calendar day of spring is March 20th.

Ok, but when will things warm up? Paul's prediction is that in Minnesota it'll start to feel like spring in early-to-mid April. Alright, so that means we have about 2 and a half months left of this. We can do it!

Here's Paul's map predicting when it will feel like spring in each part of the continental US:
