Many of us will still be working from home through the beginning of May, but there are a few more of us who’ll be able to head back to work under the revised Minnesota Stay-At-Home order.

Gov. Tim Walz, fresh out of his 14-day self-quarantining stint at the Governor’s Mansion, was back in the Minnesota State Emergency Operations Center in St. Paul yesterday. At his daily press conference, he announced he’s extending the existing Stay-At-Home order–which was set to expire Friday– through Monday, May 4th.

But he also said his administration is thoroughly looking at all sectors of the Minnesota economy to try to identify those professions who’ll be able to get back on the job and get back to work before that May 4th date.

During his press conference Wednesday, the governor didn’t specifically mention WHICH of those jobs might now have the green light to get back to work, but according to this Fox-9 TV story, the state of Minnesota has clarified the governor’s statement and already listed a few professions who can already get back on the job.

And, as we suspected, they mainly include outdoor businesses. “Industries such as landscaping and lawn care are now exempt,” Fox 9 said.  “Additionally, craft stores may remain open only to sell supplies that can be used for making Personal Protective Equipment such as fabric face masks,” the story also said.

You can read the Minnesota Executive Order 20-33, which specifically defines just which jobs are now exempt from the extended Stay-At-Home order– and are allowed to go back to work– HERE.
