Woman and Child Abducted in Minneapolis are Safe

Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - The young woman and child who were the subjects of a statewide AMBER Alert today have been located and are safe.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension canceled the Amber Alert around 5:30 PM but did not provide any details about how the reported abduction of the victims was resolved. Witnesses told Minneapolis a man, later identified as 28-year-old Jafaria Listenbee, forced a 24-year-old woman and a 2 to 3-year-old girl into a car and then drove away around 12:30 this afternoon.

Officials indicated they believed the abduction started as a domestic dispute.
