Woman Who Died In St Paul Bar Shooting Identified

St Paul (KROC AM News) - The family of the woman who was killed during a shootout inside a St Paul bar has identified her as 27-year-old Marquisha Wiley of St Paul.

St Paul Police Dept. spokesman Steve Linders was among those at the scene of the shooting a few hours after officers were called there early Sunday.

He told reporters:

“One minute she's having a good time the next minute she's lying in her friends' arms who are trying to save her life and she didn't make it - I can't think of anything worse.”

Fourteen other people were injured in the shooting that began just after midnight Sunday at the Truck Park bar, which is near the Xcel Energy Center.

Police say three men have been arrested as suspects. They were among those injured during the shootout and are expected to be taken to jail when they are released from the hospital.
