Accused Eyota Trailer Thief Expected to Face Drug Charges
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant as part of the stolen trailer investigation at the residence of 48-year-old Izaak Parker in the 1900 block of Badger Ct. Southeast on Monday. Sheriff’s Captain James Schueller said deputies spotted various drugs, drug paraphernalia and a firearm while they were searching the residence for items believed to have been taken out of the trailer.
Authorities obtained an amended warrant to include the suspected drugs and firearm. Schueller said the second search warrant uncovered four packs containing a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. He said the combined amount of suspected meth weighed 20.1 grams. Deputies also reportedly found digital scales and baggies which Schueller says indicates and intent to sell. A 0.22 caliber rifle was also found.
Schueller said Parker is being referred for three felony drug possession charges, including first-degree controlled substance sales. Court records indicate Parker has been convicted of six felonies. He's also being referred for a felon in possession of a fire arm. The criminal complaint from the stolen trailer case says Parker told officers he was the only person living at the Badger Ct. residence.
