Welcome back to our adoptable pet of the week! Happy 2021 to you all! I've got some great news to share with you before we meet this week's adoptable pet. A few of our featured pets recently, that have been at their respective shelters for a period of time, like Chad the cat 10+ years at the Humane Society in Mower County, have been adopted out and seem to be thriving! So thank you to everyone who shares these posts and a BIG thanks to everyone who volunteers at the shelters and those that have opened up their hearts and homes to these pets.

On to meeting Midnight! My friend Michaela, who is an awesome photographer as all of the photos of the adoptable pets we feature are taken by her, is a volunteer at the Mower County Humane Society, where Midnight the black cat calls home, for now, here is what she has to say about Midnight.

"Midnight is around 5 years old and has been waiting for a home since 2018. For a handsome fun-loving guy, it blows our minds! He would be a great addition to a family with other felines and children to play with. Super fun kitty which surprises me he is still available for adoption."

So let's find Midnight a new home for 2021! Midnight's adoption fee is $50, and you'll have to fill out an application before making an appointment to see him. Many area humane societies and shelters are taking a make an appointment process during COVID-19, to keep the animals, and the humans safe.
