Anonymous Man Who Needed Help in Rochester Returned the Favor 18x
CAUTION: the outcome of this act of kindness in Rochester, Minnesota may make your mouth hang open in astonishment.
The Landing in Rochester, which helps provide shelter and services for those experiencing homelessness in Rochester, had an individual stop in their Silver Lake location recently who needed some help filling up their gas tank. They never anticipated what would happen next:
A few weeks ago, a gentleman walked into the doors of The Landing at Silver Lake Station. He asked if we were able to assist him with getting gas; so, we gave him a gas card.
Yesterday, he walked back in our doors to pay it forward… 18 times over! We were astonished by the generosity, and are humbled that the Lord has blessed us yet again for doing what we do.
To the gentleman – thank you for showing us all what true selflessness looks like. - The Landing MN Facebook Page
It's an act of kindness that has been a reminder to the staff that the work they are doing is making a big difference in the community.
"What we are allowed to do is a total blessing to us and this is just a sign that we are making a very big difference in the lives of individuals that are at one time or another struggling but have great big hearts and want to help us help others. Not to long ago we had a young lady that we have had the pleasure to help give us a $100.00 bill to help pay it forward. She was still homeless, but said that she needed to help us help others as well." Dan Fifield, Founder of The Landing
