Hard to believe, but Thanksgiving is next week.  Christmas will be here in a blink of Santa's eye.  Snooping around the Internet looking for ways to usher in the holiday season, I came across the Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau website.  Austin sure knows how to give a holiday party!  Here's what they have coming up:

December 1  Christmas in the Southwest with food, crafts and live music
December 2 and 3  visit the Hormel Historic Home for A Handmade Christmas offering wine, hors d'oeuvres, music, tours of the home and more than 30 craft and home business vendors.
Also on December 3, St. Augustine Catholic Church will hold a Christmas Fair with delicious home made treats and crafts available from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Mayo Clinic in Austin will hold the Set Memories Aglow tree lighting ceremony December 4 from 5-6 p.m. with all proceeds benefiting Austin Hospice.
Finally, all month long visit Austin ArtWorks Center for the members holiday show.  The event is free and open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday till 3.

I do believe these celebrations would put even Ebeneezer in a cheerful, festive mood.  For more information on any of the above, visit Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau.  Happy holidays!
