Baby Giraffe at Como Zoo has a Name

Over MEA weekend the voting was off the charts at the Como Zoo. They were all voting for their favorite name for the new baby giraffe. One of the choices was Fonzie. Does anyone under the age of 45 even really know who Fonzie is? The second of the 3 choices was Elliot, which is a nod to the movie ET.

Ultimately the name was something that is very Minnesotan. The votes are in and the name is SOTA. Sota received 43% of the votes.

What a little cutie. Weighing in at 160 lbs, is 6'4 and was born on September 10th. If you would like to donate to the Como Zoo
