Breakfast Wraps Recalled Due to Rocks? Yes. Rocks.
WARNING: Rocks in your food! It sounds so silly, but it is true. A wrap made by a brand you know has recalled over 245,000 pounds of their breakfast wraps because...rocks.
The USDA says,
Ruiz Foods Products Inc....is recalling approximately 246,514 pounds of frozen, not ready-to-eat...breakfast wrap products containing bacon that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically small rocks. The frozen egg, potato, bacon and cheese wrap items were produced on Jan. 17, 2019 and Jan. 18, 2019. The following product is subject to recall: [see their labels here)]
- 8-Pack family size film packages containing “EL MONTEREY EGG, POTATO, BACON & CHEESE SAUCE BREAKFAST WRAPS” with “Best if Used By” dates of 01/17/2020 and 01/18/2020 and lot codes 19017 and 19018.
You've seen these wraps before...and if not them, then their cousins the beef and cheese, cheese and bean, etc. I buy cheese and bean all the time.
245,000 pounds Is it possible half that weight is the rocks?
You can throw 'em out or return 'em to the store.
