The Caledonia Warriors used a 13-0 run to come from behind and take down the #1 seeded Roseau Rams at Williams Arena Friday night 65-55.

Roseau took an eight-point lead into the break, and eventually pushed their lead into double digits. Then the Caledonia Warriors tightened things up defensively, getting steals and finding ways to generate offense in transition.

Senior Heidi Boldaun scored 24 points for the Warriors, while senior's Katie Tornstrom added 13, Ashley Schroeder added 12 and Kaitlin Conniff added 11.

The big second-half push all started on the defensive side of the floor, helping turn the great defense into easy offense for Caledonia. Roseau led 43-33, before the Warriors' 13-0 run to take the lead. The Roseau Rams shot just 25 percent from the field in the second half, while the Warriors offense started to click late, shooting 40.7 percent from the field in the second half.

Roseau took a 33-25 lead into the break, and it looked like they were going to keep extending that lead, but the Warriors dug in and made some great plays down the stretch to close out the game at the free-throw line.

Kacie Borowicz had 28 points to lead Roseau, followed by Katie Borowicz and Julia Braaten who added nine points each.

The Warriors will take on Minnehaha Academy in the Class AA State Championship game Saturday afternoon. The game is scheduled for a 2 pm tip-off from Williams Arena in Minneapolis.
