Thief River Falls, MN (KROC AM News) - A St Paul man has been killed in a head-on traffic wreck in northwest Minnesota.

The State Patrol says the 40-year-old was driving in a rural area south of Thief River Falls around 12:30 am Monday when his vehicle crossed the centerline and collided with an oncoming pickup truck.

The man’s name has not been released.

The driver of the truck and a passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. They were identified as 73-year-old Glenn Struthers of Red Lake Falls (driver) and 68-year-old Lynda Struthers of Red Lake Falls.

The State Patrol is investigating another head-on crash that happened on a Twin Cities freeway late Sunday night.

A St Paul man was driving south in the northbound lanes of I-35 in Minneapolis around 11:00 pm when his car collided with another vehicle. The State Patrol says 34-year-old Maung Soe had been drinking. He and a passenger - 31-year-old Ker Ker of Vernon, Texas - were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The other vehicle was driven by 23-year-old Mira Davis-Foulkes of New Hope. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries, as did a passenger identified as 22-year-old Roydarrius Chappell of Columbus, Georgia.
