Do People From Wisconsin Have The Best Teeth In The U.S.?
Some people like visiting the dentist and some don't. In a recent study, people from Wisconsin may have the best teeth in the United States.
The financial website, Wallet Hub is at again. This time the website broke down States with the best and worst dental health. Before we dive into where the "Dairy State" ranks and what all into determining the ranking; the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stated that 37% of adults in the U.S. have admitted to going a full year without visiting the dentist.
The CDC also recommends the following dental hygiene:
- Brush teeth with fluoride toothpaste thoroughly twice a day
- Floss (not the dance move) daily between the teeth to remove plaque
- Schedule dentist visits at least once a year
- Don't use any tobacco products or try to quit if you do.
I'm sure some mouthwash wouldn't hurt either. Some of the determining factors while comparing all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia were about 26 key indicators of dental wellness. Each of the following metrics were graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 being the best for the most favorable conditions for dental health:
- Dental Habits and Care that included adults and kids who visited a dentist in the past year, dental treatment costs, dental professionals per capita, and more.
- Oral health included poor or fair oral condition, elders with no natural teeth, sleeping problems and pain due to oral condition, and more.
Before we dive into the top ten, here's a map of the data:
