The Caledonia Warriors' defense has been stout all season long, and they came to play against a tough Chatfield Gophers team, leading the way in a 34-7 win. The win marks the 5th straight section title for the Warriors, as they look to win their fourth-straight State Championship.

The Warriors got on the board in a hurry in the first quarter after Noah King hit Eli King a big play down the middle for 39-yards that was capped off by a Noah King touchdown run to give the Warriors a 6-0 lead.

King was able to connect with King again to give the Warriors a 14-0 lead in the first quarter as Caledonia's defense was swarming early and made if very difficult on Chatfield to get anything going on offense.

The Chatfield defense was solid, but they were suspect to the big play and that is where Caledonia did their damage. King connected on passes 39, 55, 60 and 37 to help keep the Warriors offense moving. He did the rest of the damage with his legs going for three touchdowns and throwing another two.

Chatfield found some life in the ground game in the third quarter as they handed it off to Gage Tuhoy and Carson Larrabee to move the chains, and then Reid Johnson was able to connect with Seth Allen to make the score 20-7 in the third quarter.

Yet, it was a fourth quarter that was all Caledonia as they continued to move the ball and eventually take a 34-7 win.

The Warriors will open up the state tournament in Burnsville as they take on NRHEG, the champions of Section 2.
