The St. Charles Saints took Game 1, but the Fillmore Central Falcons stormed back to take the final three games of the match to take home the victory Tuesday night on Cool 104.

The Saints got great play from Brekkin McCready, Natalia VanderZanden and Eli Welch throughout the match, but they were just no match from Kaelyn Marzolf and Cailey Rindels of the Fillmore Central Falcons.

The Saints jumped out and control set one lead, and really controlled it. St. Charles got some great swings on the ball, and controlled the play, never letting the Falcons back into it to take a 25-17 win.

The Falcons game storming back in set two, and did a great job of chipping away at an early St. Charles lead. Trailing 4-1, the Falcons came back and scored four straight to take a 5-4 lead, and held on to it to take 25-21 win.

In game 3, the Falcons kept their control and led wire-to-wire, even though the Saints chipped away and never felt out of it. It was just tough for the Saints to get good swings on the ball as Marzolf and Rindels were incredible defensively. They blocked well, and made it difficult on the Saints' offense to take a 25-19 win.

Fillmore Central took a lead right away, but the Saints battled back. Trailing 10-4, St. Charles came back and tied it up at 11, trying to force a 5th game. Tied again at 15, the Saints and Falcons exchanged blows back and forth, but in the end the high-powered offense, led by Marzolf and Rindels, were able to out last the Saints to get the 25-21 victory.

It was a very entertaining match, as both teams but great swings on the ball, had tremendous volleys, and dove all over the place to do everything possible to keep the ball from touching the ground.
