Fillmore Central and Lewiston-Altura were back and forth all match long and sending it all the way to the 5th set. The Falcons were able to prevail, winning set four and five to clinch the match.

Each team took turns dominating a set, with the Cardinals winning set one 25-16 and set three, 25-10. Yet, the Falcons went in and took their own wins 25-17 and 25-21.

The back and forth battle was strange as it was close, but each set itself was dominated by one team or the other. The Falcons were able to get control late to get a 15-11 win in set five and the match.

Ciarra McNally and Myia Ruzek were great upfront for Lewiston-Altura, with McNally leading the way with 20 kills, while Ruzek added 13 and a handful of blocks. Lauren Mensink, Kandace Sikkink and Maddie Krage were the main offensive pieces for Fillmore Central, with Mensink leading the way with 15 kills, Sikkink added 11 while Krage added 13 including the match clincher.

It was a fun battle between the two Three Rivers Conference teams, and really showcased some great serving and some fantastic plays at the net to end this one in the five-set duel.
