Get Ready For More Traffic Disruptions on Highway 52 Near Zumbrota
Zumbrota, MN (KROC-AM News) - Some new detours are set to take effect for the replacement of a bridge on Highway 52 just south of Zumbrota.
Starting tomorrow (Aug. 5), traffic will be shifted to a single lane in each direction on southbound Highway 52 in the vicinity of the bridge over Highway 60 East. On Friday morning, between 6 and 10 AM, the southbound exit ramp from Highway 52 to Highway 60 East will be closed to allow for the installation of concrete barriers and the removal of guardrails in preparation for the removal of the northbound bridge. Affected motorists will use a U-turn lane at 480th street south of the interchange.
On Monday and Tuesday next week between the hours of 7 PM and 5 AM, the same detour will be used for southbound traffic on Highway 52 to access Highway 60 East. Traffic traveling west on Highway 60 East to southbound Highway 52 will be detoured on northbound Highway 52 to the Highway 58 interchange in a detour that is expected to remain in effect for about 4 months.
