Return touchdowns are some of the most exciting plays in football. But for one Vikings player, a punt return touchdown proved extra costly...

On Sunday, Kansas City's rookie return man, Tyreek Hill, returned a punt 95 yards for  a touchdown. In the process, he became the NFL's regular-season leader in punt return average. And, while that's a great honor for Hill, it was costly for one Minnesota Viking.

It turns out, according to a tweet featured on sports website 12up, that Marcus Sherels had a $100,000 bonus included in his contract for leading the league in punt return average. Up until Hill's 95-yard TD punt return on Sunday, Sherels was in line to receive that bonus. After the return, Hill claimed the punt return average title, and cost Sherels a cool $100,000 in a matter of seconds.

For those keeping score at home, Sherels finished the season with averaging 13.9 yards per punt return, while Hill's final regular-season game heroics meant he ended up averaging nearly 15.2 yards per return.

Don't worry, though, Marcus. There's always next season...
