Hulu Live Loses Fox Sports North, Only DirectTV and Cable Will Carry Network
For those who cut the cord but still wanted to enjoy the Minnesota sports you're now out of luck. Starting today (October 23rd), Hulu Live will no longer carry the network.
Starting October 23, 2020, we will no longer have the rights to distribute a number of Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) that were previously included in our Live TV plans - Hulu Help Center
This isn't the first news we have heard about a someone losing the rights to carry RSNs. YouTube TV lost their ability to stream the network in September and Dish has not carried RSNs since last year. The reason for the loss is a contract impasse between the Steaming Service(s) and Sinclair, the group that owns the rights to the RSNs.
Fox Sports North will not be the only RSN effected, others include:
- FS Arizona
- FS Detroit
- FS Florida
- FS Midwest (including FS Indiana and FS Kansas City)
- FS North (including FS Wisconsin)
- FS Ohio
- FS Prime Ticket
- FS San Diego
- FS South (including FS Tennessee and FS Carolinas)
- FS Southeast
- FS Southwest (including FS Oklahoma and FS New Orleans)
- FS Sun
- FS West
- Marquee Sports Network
- SportsTime Ohio
- YES Network
Hulu Live will continue to carry other local and national networks, depending on location, and will continue to still offer ESPN, TBS, TNT, FS1, FS2, Fox, CBS, NBC, ABC, and more. For more information, you can click here to be redirected to Hulu's website.
