
Rochester-Area Overpass Hit by Dump Truck Reopens
MnDOT officials are evaluating data collected during the inspection to determine a recommendation for repairs that may be needed
Oronoco, MN (KROC-AM News)- The bridge north of Rochester that was struck by a dump truck traveling on Hwy. 52 last week has reopened.

That’s according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). The bridge was closed earlier this week as a precautionary measure.
Director of Communications and Public Engagement for MnDOT District 6 Mike Dougherty said state bridge inspectors were at the site on Monday to conduct a damage assessment.

85th St. NW Bridge Over Hwy. 52 Near Oronoco Reopens After State Inspection
The dump truck was traveling south on Hwy. 52 Friday afternoon when it collided with the 85th St. NW overpass near Oronoco.

Emergency responders reduced southbound traffic to a single lane before closing the southbound lanes of the freeway for about three hours.
No injuries were reported. The State Patrol has not released information regarding the crash.
Dougherty says the shoulder on the north side of the bridge over southbound Hwy. 52 remains closed.
