Developing: Overturned Semi Closes Stretch of Minnesota Interstate
Update: Overturned Semi Cleared from Minnesota Interstate
Owatonna, MN (KROC-AM News)- A portion of an interstate that runs through southern Minnesota is closed due to an overturned semi.
Limited information is available, however first responders were dispatched to the scene around 7:20 a.m. Wednesday. A temporary detour has been put into place.
A MnDOT traffic camera in the area shows the semi laying on its left side in the northbound lanes on I-35 at the Steele County Rd. 4 exit, which is about 11 miles south of Owatonna.
No injuries were reported. The traffic camera in the area shows that crews had removed the cab from the semi trailer.
A skid-steer is at the scene unloading some of the contents from the trailer that spilled as a result of the crash.
State Patrol Sgt. Troy Christianson says cleanup efforts are underway. Northbound I-35 traffic is being diverted to Steele County Rd. 4.
This is a developing story. Check back for new information once it becomes available
