Morristown, MN (KROC-AM News)- An equipment mishap on a southern Minnesota farm has claimed the life of a 31-year-old man.

The Rice County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to the report of a farming accident on Tuesday. It was reported around 3:15 p.m. 

The location of the accident was at a farm about 13 miles southwest of Faribault. A news release from the Rice County Sheriff’s Office says first responders were advised a 31-year-old man was deceased upon their arrival.

Officials identified him Friday as Mitchell Kenneth Gregory of Waseca. The investigation indicates Gregory had gotten caught in a haybine. 

Emergency responders had to extricate him from the equipment. He was formally pronounced dead once he was freed from the haybine.
