Buffalo, MN (KROC AM News) - A Minnesota health clinic that was the scene of a deadly shooting earlier this year is finally ready to begin seeing patients again.

The Allina Health clinic in Buffalo opens Monday.

A man walked into the clinic the morning of Feb 9th and opened fire at employees, hitting five of them. One was killed. She was 37-year-old Lindsay Overbay, who was married and the mother of two young children. She worked at Mayo Clinic Rochester before taking the job in Buffalo.A GoFundMe site set up to benefit her children has raised more than $300,000.

Employees of Allina Health Clinic-Buffalo Crossroads were offered the first opportunity to visit the facility before it reopened to the public. It has been remodeled and additional security measures are now in place.

Across the Allina Health systems, our teams have been awestruck at the profound generosity shown by Allina Health employees and community members to support the staff at the Allina Health Clinic – Buffalo Crossroads. Various parties raised more than $284,000, including $113,000 via donations to Allina Health’s Caring for Caregivers fund, specifically designated for Allina Health Clinic – Buffalo Crossroads victims and their families.

On behalf of Allina Health, we want to thank everyone, those nearby and those from around the country for the outpouring of love that has surrounded Allina Health and our Buffalo Crossroads Clinic team over the last several months. We are excited to welcome patients back for care on Sept. 27.
