Minnesota Couple Who Each Received A Heart Transplant Marries in Vegas
As crazy as the world is today, sometimes you just need feel-good stories that prove that second chances at life or second chances at love do truly exist.
However, it's not often that both of those things can be incorporated into on single, amazing story, but that is exactly what culminated Tuesday at a Las Vegas wedding involving a couple from Minnesota.
On a date as cool as 2-22-22, there will literally be thousands of weddings taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, it's hard to think of a better love story than the one that arrived this week from the Land Of 10,000 Lakes.
Sheila Daley and James Dunbar began their love story when they met on a walking trail in Rochester, Minnesota. The two kindred spirits hit it off right away, you could definitely say it was love at first sight. However, once they learned more about one another they realized just how special and unique their blossoming relationship was.
Not only had both been previously married, but even more amazing was the fact that they had each been the recipient of a heart transplant. It was five years ago that James received his transplant, while Sheila received hers in July of 2020. If that wasn't coincidence enough, they also discovered they shared the same surgeon at the Mayo Clinic.
As time went by and they grew closer and closer, it became very apparent that thanks to two hearts graciously donated by two families, Sheila and James would indeed get second chances at life and love.
Their morning wedding ceremony was held Tuesday, February 2022, at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. They were surrounded by those they hold most dear as they exchanged their vows. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
