Minnesota’s 8 Most Romantic Places Within 90 Minutes of Rochester

The topic of romantic places came up today and it got me thinking about some of the best spots to go for a romantic date night or even a romantic weekend getaway. So I did a little digging and ended up finding a list of the 13 most romantic places in Minnesota. Some of them are up north, of course, but I wanted to focus on ones that are a little closer to home.

Even if it's not Valentine's Day or your anniversary, a romantic date night is always a good idea. It's a good chance to spend some quality time with your significant other and that's important any time of year. So maybe one of these most romantic places will inspire you to plan a date night! Most Romantic Places in Minnesota

Como Park Zoo and Conservatory - St. Paul, MN

The first place on the list is the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory in St. Paul. I'd say that the conservatory is more romantic than the zoo, but I suppose if you're an animal lover like me the zoo might be just as romantic to you! Plus its free admission.

Dakota - Minneapolis, MN

Dakota in Minneapolis is a swanky venue that has live music every night along with food and drinks being served. I've never been but it looks like an awesome place for a date night.

Domacin - Stillwater, MN

Domacin in Stillwater is a fancy Mediterranean restaurant and wine bar. You could spend the evening there sampling all kinds of wines. And an added benefit is that it's in Stillwater, which is a great town to hang out in.

Lanesboro, MN

Yep, of course Lanesboro is on the list. Lanesboro is on every list that has anything to do with date night and cute things! Lanesboro has cute spots to check out but is also known for the bed and breakfasts (as you probably know) so it's the perfect place for a romantic weekend away.

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden - Minneapolis, MN

If you and your partner are the artsy type, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is definitely a great date idea. I'd recommend going when it's warm out since it's outside but you do you.

Spoon and Stable - Minneapolis, MN

I've never been to Spoon and Stable in Minneapolis but I've heard great things. It's French-inspired and boy does it look fancy. The perfect backdrop for a romantic dinner.

St. James Hotel - Red Wing, MN

My husband and I spent our most recent anniversary at the St. James Hotel! It's such a cool building, the restaurant is great, the bar was a fun place to hang out, and the rooms are amazing. Definitely would recommend it for a romantic weekend.

W. A. Frost - St. Paul, MN

Finally, we have the W. A. Frost restaurant in St. Paul. I hadn't even heard of this place until now but the courtyard where you can sit outside is so pretty looking! And the inside looks cool too. I may have to check this place out for myself soon.
