1823-The Virgina is the first steamboat to reach Fort St. Anthony (Later known as Fort Snelling)
1827-William Windom is born. He settled in Winona in 1855. He would represent Minnesota in the US Congress as a congressman and a senator.
1902-The St. Paul Saints minor league baseball team defeats the Indianapolis Indians in the first American Association game in Lexington Park
1941-Charles A. Lindbergh Jr. is a featured speaker at a large America First rally in Minneapolis.
1993-Ralph Ware Jr dies in Oklahoma. He played a big role in creating the Heart of the Earth School.
2000-St. Augusta Township becomes the city of Ventura.
