Pastor Says Boy Hurt at Mall of America Has No Brain Damage
Brooklyn Park, MN (KROC AM News) - It was an Easter service that won’t be forgotten by those in attendance.
The pastor of the Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park on Sunday gave his gathering an update on the 5-year-old boy who was recently thrown from the 3rd-floor balcony of the Mall of America. The boy’s parents are members of the church.
Pastor Mac Hammond told the service a 5-hour MRI found no signs of brain, spinal cord or nerve damage. Hammond said one of the boy’s doctors described the findings as “a miracle.” The boy did suffer multiple broken bones and other injuries but they were not considered to be life-threatening.
A GoFundMe site set up for the boy and his family has raised $960,000 since it was set up April 13th, the day after the incident.
The man who threw the boy is facing an attempted murder charge.
