Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Minnesota Department of Transportation has some good news for motorists who frequent the south side of Rochester.

Traffic is returning Tuesday to the lanes on northbound Highway 52 near the Highway 63 interchange as the $4.2 million bridge deck replacement project that began in the spring nears completion. MNDOT is also anticipating the ramp from southbound Broadway to northbound Highway 52 will open Tuesday.

Highway 52 traffic will be limited to a single lane in both directions through the construction zone as crews remove the crossover lanes installed for the project. That work is expected to be completed late next week.

The northbound Highway 63 ramp to northbound Highway 52 remains closed, but is expected to open next week. Lane closures on South Broadway are also still in effect as crews continue painting the new bridge deck.
