Parents, I know that you could use any and every idea to keep your kiddos busy this summer. Seasonal activities everywhere have been canceled or postponed. Great news though, the Rochester Public Library is still doing their popular Summer Playlist program - it'll just a little different this year.

“Instead of tracking activities through the summer to earn rewards at the end of the program, we’re providing families with everything they need to complete Playlist activities.” - Karen Lemke, Head of Marketing at Community Engagement at RPL. The Summer Playlist promotes activities like reading, growing, playing, creating, and caring.

You can grab your Summer Playlist bag, complete with an activity log and sidewalk chalk, starting July 1st when you visit the Rochester Public Library Curbside Service or Bookmobile, while supplies last. They will also host a special "Grab-n-Go Summer Playlist Kickoff Event" on the 1st from 10 am -1 pm at Dr. Martin Luther King Park.

We’d love to see every sidewalk in Rochester full of messages of care, support, and kindness.- Karen.
