Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was arraigned Tuesday on charges related to a child sex case that dates back several years.

The criminal complaint filed against 45-year-old Avelino Cruz-Munoz charges him with four felony counts of criminal sexual conduct.

During arraignment, his bail was set at $300,000.

According to the complaint, the victim told a Rochester police investigator the abuse began in 2012 when she lived in Red Wing. At the time she was 12 or 13-years-old.

The victim says the abuse continued after she moved to Rochester in 2016.

She said the abuse lasted seven years and at times, occurred five times a week.

According to the complaint:

”Victim continued to talk about how Munoz has affected her, he told her to stay silent and that she could kill him when he was a little older. He offered to pay her money if she stopped and asked her not to tell "the law." He then apologized and said he did not know what he was doing. Munoz told Victim he had stopped and was going to change.”
